Faire paysan by Blaise Hofmann is an outstanding resource for anyone interested in the situation of Swiss farming communities and their evolution over the past sixty years. It offers a unique perspective on one of the major divides shaping our society: the gap between the agricultural world, often blamed for environmental degradation, and the urban world, eager to forge a new relationship with nature yet largely disconnected from the concrete realities of farming work.
This stage adaptation, performed by two actors and remaining faithful to the original text, extends Hofmann’s approach by exploring paths toward reconciliation and inviting audiences to reflect on how we can continue to live together despite our differences.
