Biche is an intergenerational and inter-species dance treatment by Marion Zurbach and Géraldine Chollet.
The two performers have collected the testimony of Biche, a former dancer at the Marseille Opera, whom Marion knew as a child. Her journey speaks of attempts to control, break, resilience and reinvention.
With an unfailing attention to the other, each dancer incorporates the life story of her elder sister, and together they become the bearers of witness - all the while practicing the gestures that make for care. Biche’s uneven trajectory points to a possible path towards a life off the rails that remains driven, despite the silence and the wounds, by a love of freedom of a troubling vitality.
Doesn’t solitude die once you have found someone to tell you that you are alone?
