Image from A prayer before the crack of dawn

A prayer before the crack of dawn is declined as various moments of a vast medieval painting - a fantasized and joyfully absurd Middle Ages, in which sensuality is a language and the hegemony of reason inoperative. Questioning gender norms, the four characters oscillate between grotesque and sensuality, between past and present, between adidas toga and bowl cut.

A prayer before the crack of dawn thinks of the medieval period as a field of exploration that can prove to be a vector of emancipating imaginations.
