Buro d’Archi dives into Long développement d’un bref entretien, a text by Dutch author Magne van den Berg, which recounts the sudden collapse of a circle of friends. When Jeanne tells Louise that “the idea of leaving here is on her mind”, discussions ensue, lies resurface, tensions are rekindled, and the quartet’s equilibrium unravels. Combining abstraction, humor and musical language, Buro d’Archi plays with the tension between order and chaos, questioning the fragility of our worlds, our relationship with impermanence and our vulnerability in the face of what eludes us. Thanks to meticulous work on rhythm and space, the duo creates an unsettling sensory experience for the audience.
