Ici rien ne va brings together three characters around a departure from the village where they grew up. Not a fanfare departure, no, a musical departure. Low cost. The tone is set. Between the one who’s leaving, their friend who’s staying, and the one who loves the one who’s leaving, feelings, fantasies, doubts, desires and regrets about what they’re leaving behind and what they hope to find again when they return, all pass in song. A comedy about the gap between dream and reality.
This project is produced by Cie Naponk: Maude Bovey, Luis Henkes, Yann Hermenjat and Jérémie Nicolet.
Cie Naponk is a unique collective comprising a set designer, a lighting designer, an actor-composer and a stage director. Maude Bovey, Luis Henkes, Jérémie Nicolet and Yann Hermenjat met when Jérémie created his solo RC. Together, they explore artistic forms at the crossroads of theater, music and dance, questioning what drives individuals to create and the devices we invent to achieve it.
