Les Promises

The Promises is an artistic collaboration between six teenagers living in the 15th and 16th
teenagers living in the 15th and 16th districts of Marseille
Marseille, artists, social workers and anthropologists. The project begins in 2019. The team is coaching the young women in writing a play in which they express themselves about their lives through their imagination and their stories. The play reflects the themes they wanted to explore, their view of their environment, the myths
that they build to exist, but also that they undergo.

The cinematographic work Les Promises is written by several hands and thought as a window opening on the life of these teenagers. The film is constructed from interviews, dance scenes and videos made by the teenagers with their smartphones. It gathers a collection of people, places and objects made unique by the emotions and memories attached to them.
