Weekend Prolongé is a festival designed to help young artists from Fribourg in the fields of theatre, dance, circus and performance to break into the professional world and raise their profile. It responds to the difficulties faced by emerging artists in entering the professional world and finding their first contracts.
As recent graduates, these emerging artists have the opportunity to present the project of their choice in a context that encourages innovation and networking. Founded in 2020 by three artists just finishing their training, this festival gives a boost to the cultural landscape of the performing arts in Fribourg by making it attractive to young talent. By facilitating the link between schools and the professional world, it fulfills an essential mission in the careers of artists.
