Weekend Prolongé is a festival dedicated to the emergence of performing arts in Fribourg. Every year, in September, it allows artists beginning their career to meet and show their work to the public and professionals of our region. Its goal is to facilitate the integration of artists in the professional environment of the canton, while making them aware of the challenges of contemporary creation.

From 2022 onwards, a distribution program will be set up so that the artists can forge links beyond Fribourg and reach out to the whole of French-speaking Switzerland.

This third edition continues to support emerging artists, while reinforcing the axis of dissemination, a major issue in contemporary creation. By weaving a privileged link with the Valais, through the festival Fais comme chez toi, Weekend Prolongé offers the opportunity to two projects from Fribourg to be performed in Valais, and welcomes two artists from Valais to Fribourg.

Julien Jacquérioz, director of the TLH - Sierre and sponsor of this third edition, will also be the bearer of this link.

A round table around the question of well-being at work in the performing arts, proposed by Art Sainement, will also allow the artists to be sensitive to this important subject.
